Jack {6 Years!)

Jack is 6! This one is a little harder to swallow since he's our baby. When working furiously on our 2017 photobook awhile back and now the 2018 book, it was and continues to be so fun seeing Jack at such a young age. He was a precious toddler and is still as sweet as can be with a big dose of goofy too. He's certainly a handful since he seems hungry all.the.time. and that can lead to some hangry behaviors - don't we all do that on occasion? I can only imagine how he gets through the day at school or daycare but we've had mostly good reports from his teachers. 

Jack completed kindergarten back in May 2021 and I am so proud of all he accomplished. He started out with one teacher but switched to a different one when the school went to fully in-person. I welcomed the switch and it seemed to be a great fit for him. Jack is such a good helper at school and plays well with others as his teachers have reported during conferences. I see this at home too and it warms my heart that this also translates well at school. 

Jack loves to draw and color, play with his friends, and work on legos. I'd say he also loved getting his own room once we moved into our new house in May 2020. Jack is a lover of sleep and often wants to stay in bed a little while longer in the mornings.

Jack {5 Years Old!}

Jack is now a full blown FIVE YEAR OLD as of March 2020. He is a smart young man who loves to cuddle, make you laugh, go on walks, eat pickles and salsa (not together of course!), and so much more. While Jack keeps getting older and learning new things, he will always be my sweet baby boy! Speaking of learning new things, we were really hoping to teach the boys how to swim this year. We enrolled them in swimming lessons in early 2020 but man, has COVID really thrown a wrench in so many things. 

In a few short weeks, Jack will be in kindergarten. He seems excited but I am nervous about both boys being in the "school age room" at daycare. Jack is confident and excited to play with older kids but this feels so different than Owen because O's confidence is on another level. I know it will all be okay and I look forward to helping him be the best kindergartner there is!

Also, this is completely random but worth noting. Jack can be very considerate sometimes. Like, unusually so. Case in point, Jack will take the time to hop off my lap and turn around if he has to toot. He will be sitting on my lap and then all of a sudden bounce off me to do his business and then hop right back on. How cute is that? Also, #boymom.
