The End of an Era: My Last Night Living Full-Time in Decorah

On my last official night living full-time in Decorah, we kept things simple and sweet—literally! The boys and I celebrated with some delicious ice cream, a perfect way to close this chapter. While I felt a bit nervous about the big transition ahead, deep down, I knew this was the right move for our family.

Here’s to new beginnings, carrying cherished memories from Decorah as I step into this next chapter. Thankfully, we still had time to create more special moments—while the boys continue preschool and Gary works at Deco Projects through June. By the time we sell the house, aimed at this summer, we will truly embrace every last bit of our time in Decorah.

Holiday Cheer 2018 {6} - Holiday Card

I meant to share this post earlier but I still had one card to hand out to my very best friend so didn't want to spoil the card before she saw it. Now that I did finally give it to her, here is our 2018 holiday card!

Holiday Cheer 2018 {5} - Extended Family Photos!

I've been really excited for this post because it's a year too late! I was planning to share these right after we received them but being that we always share our own family photos during these Holiday Cheer posts, it didn't seem quite right to do these any other way!

When the whole family was together last December, we had planned getting our family photos done. That was no simple undertaking with a total of five family units, seven children under the age of 6 and a total of 17 people YET we got it done.

Thank you, Brittany Todd, for somehow capturing some decent photos of all the chaos and for the family for getting all dolled up for the event. I love me some family photos! Get ready for photo overload in the order these photos were taken!!
